Should You Wear The Same Clothes Every Day? (You Might Be Surprised)

Mark Zuckerberg was asked during a Q&A session why he “seems” to wear the same clothes every day; most notably, his grey t-shirt. This was his answer.
“I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community,” he said.
So does he have a point?
I recently began taking cold showers. I will spare you the details over why the decision was made, but what I will say is an unexpected result was that I felt my day was more, well, clear. I no longer thought about showers because the shower wasn’t some space in my day that I needed to allot time for and it was a time to think. It was just a short spurt of time to get clean and move on.
I can see how wearing the same thing daily could have a much similar effect. We don’t realize the far reaching effects things like long showers and choosing clothes can have on our daily efficiency. Cutting out unnecessary and trivial task can go a long ways in helping your day move along. It can help you dedicate mental energy to task that benefit you more.
This isn’t to say that we don’t enjoy the fashion show our Check Issuing employees put on for us, or that we want anyone to smell bad, but hey, maybe it is something to consider. He does own Facebook!
